DG 300, putting away on trestles and radio

Posted on Posted in DG-300

Yesterday (10th May) I experimented with collapsing the port wing trestle just before putting the glider away. I found that this makes it much easier to push the glider back in to position on my own. The trestle is easy enough to re-erect and tie down. Bill has staked out two bamboo poles behind the tail to help line it up and this helps too.
The radio is receiving well but not transmitting. I’ll check wiring when I’m next at Lasham, it may be the connection to the microphone. 8.33 kHz frequencies can now be selected, note that Popham has changed to 129.805 (previously 129.800).
